Who We Are
We're a small, family run construction company and building contractor based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Our team has been in the trade for over 35 years — working on everything from small repairs to full new builds, extensions, barn conversions and loft conversions.
As local builders, we work across Suffolk and the surrounding area — including Ipswich, Newmarket, Sudbury, Haverhill and Cambridge. Every job gets the same attention — we turn up when we say we will, we keep you in the loop, and we don't leave until the finish is right.

What to Expect When Working With Us
Approve the Quote
Once you agree to the budget/quotation from Construction Made Clear Ltd, we will send you a deposit invoice.
Pay the Agreed Deposit
This initial payment is due straight away.
We Confirm Your Start Date
After we receive your payment, we will: Agree a start date with you, provide a full schedule of works, and give you a clear payment plan.
Health & Safety Covered
Michael Cornell will take on your legal duties under the CDM 2015 regulations, making sure all health and safety requirements are handled during the planning stage and build.
Project Management During Planning
Once your initial payment is made, we handle the entire planning process, including designs, site visits, building control applications, structural calculations if needed, and submitting a Lawful Development Certificate. This ensures your project is fully compliant and that your investment goes into work that genuinely adds value to your home.
